No answers on drain
Well, it’s been a week and I really didn’t get any firm recommendation about what one should be… or could be doing long-term to prolong the lifespan of their basement drain.
Somebody did suggest running hot water through it. But of course, my wife does a couple of loads of hot laundry water per week, so I’m sure that’s going down the drain.
I will have to check Home Depot or Lowe’s the next time I’m over there.
There may not be some “official recommendation” … but perhaps there’s a product I can try on my own. I’m thinking that biological-based stuff I used at our old house on the bathtub drain might be something to try.
Meanwhile, my work is so busy that I haven’t had much time for the house. Thankfully, it’s winter. But I’m starting to see a whole lot of work around here for the coming Spring!
